CEMETERY FINES

A COUNCIL has come under fire for slapping fines on people’s GRAVESTONES for breaching petty regulations on pot plants. Disgusted mourners have arrived at their loved ones graves to find penalty notices insensitively stuck to the headstones, demanding money for having more than one pot plant. Several visitors to Alfreton Cemetery in Derbyshire were met with a letter from Amber Valley Borough Council stating they had to pay for a garden permit.
